Early in my career, I noticed that one of the accelerators of personal or business results is Negotiation Competence.
Negotiation is usually understood as a buying and selling process, during which each side seeks benefits for itself. This association causes not the best emotions, because the benefits must be combat, which is neither easy nor fun.
However, negotiation situations both in business and in life happen all the time. According to research, each person has about 8-10 thousand negotiations per year.
If your field of activity is Purchasing or Sales, Negotiations are taken for granted, but if your activity is related to HR, IT, Finance, Projects, Production, Logistics, Quality, do you really think that negotiations will overtake you?
The negotiating principles of Power strategy (Zero-Sum) still dominate the world, however I am noticing that the traditional Power strategy is losing its relevance and strength as business needs and awareness are currently changing rapidly. Both in business and within companies, the need for self-benefit is changing to a search for greater meaning: Why do I have this business? Why do I do this job?
